My wife's CLK320 (W209 -2002) Has the original factory fit Nokia 6310i kit.
Not in the centre armrest but cradle is on left hand side of centre console.
Rather than spend £300+ on the Dension ipod interface and still not be able to use an Iphone as a phone ...i was wondering what's involved to actually remove the Nokia kit (inc PSE) and attempt to fit a Parrott or Motorola TK30 in it's place. Thus giving iphone use for calls AND music.

Has anyone had experience of this?
Any advice greatly appreciated.

Should be relatively straightforward. When we bought the bmw I installed a Parrott and in doing so discovered the previous owner had simply cut off the head when returning it to the lease company...

Thanks for the info.
The Viseeo looks good but readin the spec ...it's got me concerned that our Nokia kit may NOT be factory fit as it is not in the centre armrest. I'm pretty certain it's MB equipment as it integrates phone book etc on the dash information system. Any ideas how i find out.....where would the MB PSE unti be located in a CLK?

If you have the phone menu in the instrument cluster, it must be a factory option. You could check it from your data card. If you don't want to post your VIN and prefer to reveal it to one of the Russian sites, you should be able to find it yourself:
Ìîäåëü

Some LHD cars are missing from their database, as well as most recent models (but 2002 RHD cars are all covered).

I'm slightly going to contradict/clarify Diesel Benz's post here

If you get the phonebook in the stereo then it is factory fit.

If its in the cluster and not the stereo, then its likely to be a Mercedes FSE aftermarket installation - but unlikely if its in the centre rest, and actually its quite rare, but I have seen 3-4 of them cause great confusion when they didn't work with ViseeO some time ago.

If you send an email / contact form on Mercedes Comand Navigation and Audio Specialists with your VIN, Alfie will look it up for you and tell you what you need - remembering that the MBU3000 only gives you bluetooth phone functions so you haven't solved the iPod issue I think you want to solve.

Only phone cradle,don't use parrot
Plenty of them on ebay
I'm using second cradle with my S class and it is perfect

Sorry to jump in on this thread, but is the viseeo Bluetooth adapter much of an improvement over the Mercedes bluetooth adapter (Mercedes Benz HFP Bluetooth Mobile Cradle B67875877)

Thanks

Used both
Only difference for me - Viseeo looks nicer but as it is in a armrest doesn't matter
Both read phone book, can use steering to navigate, sound wise the same

Dont know if these are any good to you and not sure if you can play music through it but it will connect your phone..

Viseeo MBU-3000 Mercedes Bluetooth NEW!!! | eBay

Tried this today and although it does send the sound to the BT interface, it doesn't come through the speakers - it is phone only I'm afraid. Works brilliantly for the phone though. :thumb:

Wow! Thanks for all the replies folks!
I tried this on another couple of forums and get nothing! so ...it appears, this is the place to be.
Just a little confusion above....the phone is NOT in the centre armrest but on a carrier screwed to the centre console next to radio. I get the phone book in the cluster but not on the radio.
Decoded the VIN and there is reference to this:
852 MOBILE.PRE-INSTALL.COMPL.ON TOWER NOKIA SERIES 5/6

So... does that mean it had the phone put in at the factory or just the prewire ...and would that include the PSE in the boot ( i think)

Thanks for all your help
