Remove side skirts on W204 C63

Anyone removed the side skirts recently on a w204 c63 2012? I've Removed the 8 clips on the bottom, and the 2 little clips front and rear at the ends, feels like it's going to snap though so don't want to force it any more. I can see white clips that the skirt seems to slot into but they look to go in vertically, and there isn't enough room to lift and remove, well for me anyway. Cheers for any advice.
