Removing battery A170 W169

OK I had expected that if I removed the battery I'd be able to lock the doors and then remove the battery and finally lock and unlock the drivers door with the key.

However that doesn't seem to be working.

Surely the drivers door manual lock unlock is for flat batteries?

So for anyone else that finds this thread.

Yes it does work but you have to open the door handle 15 or 20 times and it opens.
