Removing grease on carpet

And lo, a miracle came unto the rear carpet that was stained, or rather a good bit of dabbing with Isopropyl alcohol on a microfibre cloth. Then I used it on the dark bits around all the pedals which had resisted the Autoglym yesterday and they came up beautifully too.

A quick check 15 minutes later and the smell of the alcohol has entirely dispersed. So it looks like a very good and safe substance to use on 43 year old Citroen carpet.

Good news Charles, now can we have some pics of the whole car?

Did it lighten up the carpet background colour at all Charles?

No apparent lightening effect at all. It just took the grease out, a bit more work tomorrow to finish the job (I'd rather under than over treat the first time).

Simon, no photos likely for a little while as I'm sorting all the aesthetics, so some paint touching up, lots of cleaning, machine polishing and stainless steel polishing to be done first.
