As the title says guys, does anyone know how to remove the complete insides inc circuit board from the case of a W203 C Class key?

These are welded and the chance of opening is very small, if the key is U/S then you have nothing to lose by cutting all around the edge.

If you are successful plumbers solvent will weld it up again, if you do open it, then take care with the transponder coil

Not a problem hacking the old used one, i just wanted to swap the working inners into a new looking case as all my buttons are cracked.

what about removing the ones from the new case I buy from e bay? I dont want to damage that case! Is this a non starter?

I have just opened up my key removed the battery and you will see that the PCB just slides in, Problem solved

Rather than damage the good PCB with the battery out you can see where to cut the old case, rather than risk damage to the PCB, the new one you can just pull the out

Got it now! So problem solved, now dont suppose these slip inside the new style c class keys?

Pop into MB and ask to see a new style key,if its the same physical size then yes. I cant see why the PCB would have been changed

If it works please let us know :D:D

Just had a look at the new c class key on the web, the buttons are in different places so guess it wont work.

yep, winning one at the mo for £11.50
