How hard is it to remove front seat covers? Is this DIYable without wrecking the seats?

Its for a 209 CLK with manual seats but I'm guessing it's much the same for any Merc. My aim is to fit heated pads - I have already fitted a harness and switch panel but bottle-jobbed taking the seat apart!

I can't find a "how to", youtube video or anything at all.

I had a professional mess my seat up once, the bolster never did look right.

There are varying degrees of expertise so I guess difficult to say.

A friend of mine virtually built a barn on his own, building, electrics, plumbing, tiling etc. He did a fantastic job.

Me? Well I can barely put a shelf up.

But someone may be along with knowledge soon.

Sorry for the above, big fingers.

I changed all the seat coverings, on my W211, from MBtex to leather, it is a job that can be done in your garage but the covers are a bit of a quest to remove with all the clips holding them on take their toll on your fingers, make sure you have plenty of time, I removed the seats to get to all the bits, if they have the under seat storage these are held in with pop rivets which will need drilling and replacing.
Good luck
