Removing ML wheels for cleaning

Not that I've been this thorough before, but I reckon to clean my wheels properly, they need to come off. Just can't get round the back, and the stuff looks cooked on good!

Do I need to get them 'balanced' after I'm done?

The best wheel brushes are the washing up type, thin enough to slop behind the brake callipers, my wheels are always spotless inside
