HI.
does anyone know how to or can recommend removing, or what i would need to use to remove the c220i badge on the boot?

also would it leave any marks on the paintwork?

( i used to have a jag afew yrs ago and u could use a credit card or strong plastic tool to remove any badges on the boot)

many thanks

Hi

Lots of posts on this -search for de-badging.

yep hair dryer (them were the days!!) a soft folded old towel to kneel on, & a bit of effort.

place the towel on the floor where you intend to kneel.
are you replacing the badge? if so under the old decal add a line of masking tape to show line & level, mark on the masking tape a line just behind the C then the same infront of the O or I that way you can replace the decal with out the worry of a tape measure.
then with nice even strokes with the hair dryer warm the decal up noy too close, enough to warm the badge up, remember the badge will get hot (normal) add a little pressure behind the badge ( do not use any screwdrivers) an old card will be ok wrapped in a cotton cloth.
remove any excess adhesive with a little white spirt-then was off with warm water.
add some cutting paste then .polish to finish

thanksguys will let you know how i get on, and sorry i should of searched for de badging,

call me thick but i couldnt find what it was called ,,oppps. brain not working..

once again thanks so much..!!

complete job

worked a treat, i tookk my time
used a towel for my knees, and a small hairdryer on a low heat..
also had some white spirit at hand...

i actually had an old credit card, and used that to gently prize the badge off, then i put some white spirit on the adhesvive on the bonnett..

lefr it for a while then scrapped away...gently...

took about 20 minutes in total...

thanks again guys!
