removing the limiter?

Hi, Whats involved in removing my 155mph limiter, is it just a case of taking the car to a dealer and hooking it up to a star machine?

Im not looking for more power by giving it a remap ive just got this urge to take it flat out to see what it will do.

Judging from previous posts I think you need to have a remap done, Hooking it up to a star machine wont do.

I agree above you need to get the limiter removed through a remap all they do is take the VMAX off and leave the cars engine management software alone! but who ever you get it done off they will probably charge the same price as if u was getting a remap.

Oh yeah when you do decide to get the limiter removed please ensure you've checked your tyre speeds!!!

had limiter removed by remapping from my M5 & boy it does make a difference.you could do almost 20 miles more flat out

and like owen has pointed out make sure tires are upto the mark
