Replace daytime running light unit - LED

At a magnificent cost of c£250 you can get a garage to replace an LED daytime running LED light unit. Online you can buy for approx £30 a pair, however, utube doesn’t show an R350 (2009) replacement and having removed the front plastic surround + the chrome surround I’ve arrived at a dead end. It appears as though the light unit is held in from the other side. No way down through the bonnet and can’t see an easy option coming up from under the front....can anyone help? I would be very grateful.

Not through the wheel arch liner ?

as above, wheel off and then remove wheel arch liner.
