Does it make any difference in anyway by replacing the standard Airfilters on the C63 with some performance ones?

Not a lot Chris no, makes the engine breathe a little better, and you may get 1 or 2 bhp but that's about it.

You would normally fit them along side other mods, exhaust, remap ect to compliment them.

Thinking of fitting alongside a remap, no really worried about additional performance, but sound could be different? Might make the engine breath a little better?

Not really any sound difference Chris, as the filters are not an open induction kit they are still housed in the filter boxes
But yes the engine will breathe better due to the larger surface area of the performance filters, so worth fitting with a remap.

I am a BMC supplier and can send you a set if you wish.

BMC filters are in there for life. They just need cleaning that's all.

Better than K&N filters? I think the bmc ones are just cotton aren't they?

BMC filters are a step up from K&N. We find they don't deform like others.

Not really. They are just lifetime serviceable filters. They are the best quality I have seen and fitted.

Well Ive had them on for a while now and must say with a full service and the bmcs there seems to be a noticeable difference. Not so much in noise, that seems as loud and violent as always. But it definately seems like the car is a little more responsive and seems acouple flat spots within the rev range appear to have been ironed out. How much of this is due to the service and how much the filters I cant say. But im definately pleased. Money well spent

Reading through the responses, I will be purchasing, just seems to be a sensible idea.
