i am new here and have not managed to find the answer in the previous threads. I want to replace the original Blaupunkt radio cassette in my 300SL (1989), with a cd radio. Having seen lots of models available my question is whether its relatively straight forward to fit myself or should I get a specialist to fit it - i'm in herts so any recommended place would be great.

The hardest part will be getting the Blaupunct out.
I believe your car wont have a standard ISO connector so you'll need to buy an adapter from your radio supplier at the same time.
Its an easy but satisfying job to do yourself but if you want to vastly improve audio quality then its probably best left to the professionals unless you are adept at ripping your car apart
