replacing dashboard air vent.

2015 e220 AMG Line

I've made a mess of the airvent bars on the driver side nearest the window. I used them to mount a mobile phone holder, but its scratched off all the paint.
Do the vents or the bars easily pop out?
Apreciate any advice.

Hi, same here. One is scratched a bit so binned the cheap air vent phone holder. What to buy to not do any more interior damage? Windscreen one or are there any other clever ideas?

There are some that go into the CD slot, then clamp to it. They don't cause damage.
