My brake wear indicator has come on and from a quick visual check it seems that the front pads have had their day.
I'm currently looking into getting them replaced but wondered if I ought to buy the pads myself and get them fitted at a local garage, go the whole hog and get the pads and discs done together or stick it into MB and get them to sort it.
It's a 2007 car with 32k on the clock so is there a particular convention on when to change discs? Equally will a new set of pads sort it?
I'm mechanically minded but would likely spend more on tools etc than I might getting the pads fitted. I'd sooner not go down the super-cheap eBay for pads route as I value my own safety over a £20 saving.
Also, must the sensors be replaced or simply reset?
Thanks, Andy.
