Just had the front "castor" arms (and bushes) replaced by my Indy to get it past an MoT.
I'm assuming by "castor" they mean "control arm" - yes??
It's because they discovered no grease at all in the joints and the bushes were worn. They told me the bushes came with the arms.
They also strongly recommended OEM parts as they have experienced after market parts and don't like them.
So for £420 inc vat, fitted, they replaced both sides.

Advice please?

1. Views on the above?
2. Do I need a full wheel alignment on the car (front only or front and back) because the geometry has been disturbed?

Your experience/advice, gratefully appreciated.

Oem will be Lemforder which you could have got from ECP/AUTODOC for 1/2 the price of oem :-(

I think you meant half the price of OE?

The advantage of OE is that you can replace the bush if only that is worn. Bushes are circa £40 but then the labour to press out and in. Swings and roundabouts possibly?

Had the car 4 wheel laser aligned - all OK.
