Hi,

Can I replace my existing CD changer with one that can play MP3 disc's.

My set up: 2000 reg CL500 (W215) with COMAND 2.5 and factory 6-CD autochanger in the boot.

Thanks in advance!

Paul.

Basic answer: Nope

There are more complex answers if you want :)

Thanks for the quick reply.

I guess I could hook up my personal MP3 player to the unit.

I've read on these forums about an AUXILLARY input to the comand unit....?

I've checked my glovebox, no holes or sockets etc so I probably don't have one!

Is this something that can be fitted fairly cheaply?

Yeah, I can't remember how much the cable is but it's only a few quid, you'd have to make a hole in the glovebox or wherever you intend to store the mp3 player.

There are lots of aux threads in the electronics section, one was kicking about earlier: http://mbclub.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=13070

Good luck :)
