Hi All!

I'm currently looking at buying my first Merc, a C250 AMG.

The issue I'm having is that I know the exact spec I'm after but am struggling to find it ...at the right price!.
- C250d Coupe + Premium pack
- 2016 onwards
- Selenite Grey
- black 19'' wheels and black trim around windows

The only one I have come across is in Northern Ireland and the used car dealer is asking more than what it's worth, his reason being that he buys vehicles from mainland UK, transports them over and his cars and most cars in Ireland tend to me more expensive there as a result. He originally was asking 2k more than what they go for here in the mainland UK but has dropped 1k.

What sets his apart from the many vehicles here is the wheels he has on it! and the trim around the windows (BLACK 19'' REPLICA WHEELS, BLACK HIGH GLOSS TRIM). I can easily pick up a car here at the same price as his and 1 year newer but with silver wheels. I've started wondering whether its worth buying one here and just buying the wheels/trim myself and popping them on?.

Does anyone know where I can source these wheels as I can't for the life of me find them anywhere online! I'm told by the salesman that they arent genuine mercedes alloys. I'm too embarrassed to ask where he got them from!.

Thanks all!

Thanks AMGeed!

Steve, are there any issues with paint flaking off easily if painted or powder coated?

I wouldn't think so if the wheels been prepared properly before paint, the guys that refurbished my wheel will do them in a choice of colours and guarantee their work for twelve months..

Guess you have answered your own question. Plenty of reputable companies specialising in wheel refurbishment/colour change etc and as for the trim, just get it wrapped in gloss black. Job done! :)
