Anyone ever requested that a particular registration number be included in a future auction?

If so, do they contact you to let you know before they auction it?

Yes, I've done that. I phoned up to request a plate that had never been issued AFAIK. Two months later it appeared in a DVLA Plate Auction.

IIRC, I received an automated email telling me when the plate was coming up for sale.
