reset service indicator manually

hi
can any help me with info on how to reset the service indicator on a mercedes elegance 1998 2.4 auto
the owners manual say's press a square button on the steering wheel but I do not have these buttons
the buttons that I do have are
on the left + and - and 0
on the right H / M and a R
so how do i manually reset the service indicator when the car did not go to a mercedes dealer

Ignition on, press 0 twice to bring up the service indicator. Hold 0 down and switch off ignition and then back on still holding down.
Hold for a further 5 secs until gong sound.
