The Aircon was too cold and kept going to ‘lo’ on passenger side - a reset has made it better, still weirdish but better, the drivers window didn’t go all the way up - it does now when locked, the gearbox was adapted to the previous owner - now learning the way I drive?
Just trying to get it right for me?
Sounds like the window did need to be reset, and is sometimes required when battery voltage is very low or zero. It sounds like there’s an issue with the aircon worth investigating.
Unless you reset the gearbox using STAR then you haven’t reset anything. The gearbox should only really be reset as part of fixing an issue, and hence it’s buried deep in STAR.
Also known as the ECU reset, the old “ignition in position II and accelerator to the floor for 10 seconds…” just makes your car think that you had you accelerated hard for 10 seconds.
You can achieve the same result by accelerating hard for 10 seconds. Find a junction on a quieter dual carriageway and pull away from rest with your foot to the floor and you’ll see.
Even though it sounds like you’ve onot recently bought the car, the gearbox will likely have already adapted to the way you drive long before you attempted to reset it.
The most recent 40 transmission shift points and associated sensor data are stored and used as part of the adaptive transmission, and so all trace of the previous owner’s driving style is long since gone.
However the transmission doesn't wait for a full cycle of 40 shufts to adapt, if there is a marked change in you driving style it will react by making shifts more or less aggressive as required.
Most people attempt to reset the adaptions because they believe the transmission is too slow for their sporty driving style. Ironically the transmission is reflecting their real driving style.
Enjoy your new car and good luck sorting out the air conditioning issue.
