Hello,

I have a 2009 E350CDI.

I'd like to reset the ECU and everything in the car.

Is it just as simple as disconnecting the battery for 5mins and then reconnecting ? or is it a bit of a longer task ?

I've had the car nearly 9 months and its done 180k Miles. For my own piece of mind i'd like to reset it all so its just down to my driving habits and things,

Also it might help with my poor MPG i get at the moment.

Thanks

After 9 months any adaptive ECU would already be only your driving style.
The only sure way to return to factory settings would be to use STAR.
TBH I don't see any advantage. If you think your mpg is low a session on STAR might reveal any errors and possible reasons.

Fair enough.

I'd still like to do it anyway for my own piece of mind. I am an odd person lol

Do you know how i would do it ?

As I said the only sure way is to connect with STAR diagnosis. Find yourself a local MB independent with the kit.
