retro fit auto dimming rear mirror on c class w205

I've seen a couple of posts suggesting it is possible and is easy to fit?

My soon to arrive c class is SE Executive variation and annoyingly has no options for this

Anyone seen any such retro fitting for a auto dimming rear mirror?

So where do you get your parts and instructions on how to remove and replace it?
Any websites?

If this is an easy upgrade why does mb not give that option? I guess it it to push you to buy the sport?

To be honest, i use EPC for parts but any decent parts department will help& if u ask them nicely might provide u with the diagram as well . As far as removal goes you can use the diagram mentioned or just go for it. But it shouldn't be too difficult tbh

Well that seems to be way over my head
I've no idea on where to get one or the prerequisites to replacing it.
Is it really an easy thing to change?

Failing that I can always flip the mirror

As for getting one, well you can order one from MB.

Also, as said, remove existing mirror, replace with auto-dimming type. It will need a switched power supply and possibly an earth connection.

If you do not understand how to do it get your dealer or a local MB Specialist to do it, they can then update the data-card so it appears on the MB system.
