Looking to buy a S320cdi but its does not have comand, but asides from that its almost the perfect car.
Is it possible to fit COMAND into it, and how much work is required?
I have previously fitted a unit into my w208 clk without any problems, but I couldnt find much info on here for the S-class.
Would appriciate the help guys,
Cheers

Sure. It just comes down to assembling the install kit and replacing any specific console panels.

You want COMAND 2.5. Steve MBenzNL( [email protected] ) can arrange the components.

Is it possible to fit the latest style COMAND to a 2001 model? I mean the 16:9 6.5" screen version?
Also, would the SL style GPS ariel still work through the dash?
Cheers

No - the function of 16:9 COMAND in pre-facelift cars is not correct and the steering wheel function is also lost.

Through the dash function is generally good. The comand decoder for signals adjusts itself till it can register a proper signal.
