Retro fit daytime running LED

Just wondering if anyone has any knowledge of Retro fitting daytime running LED to an R class - W251?

What age is the R class ? Was it a year where DRL was available as an option ?

Hi - the year is 2007, I have no knowledge if DRL where around at that time, I presume not?

I believe they were being fitted from late 2011 onward's.
