My SL does not have a Panoramic roof. Other than that I think it's perfect!

So what would you expect to pay from a Breakers for a good condition Pano roof section? £500?, £1,000? What do you reckon?

Also, just how tricky would it be to fit?
(Or do I just take it to Olly at PCS?)

I'm not looking forward to taking the damn thing off the donor car at the breakers :confused:
Anyone done this and can shed some light on the operation?

Thanks :)

I may be wrong but I don't think you can buy them from MB. Iirc they were a £5K+ option.

They come up every now and again, on eBay, but I've never seen one go for less than a grand. Range seems to be £1K to £1.8K. Do a search here, there has been some discussion about seals but the general feeling is that if the roof and car are of a similar vintage it should be a straight swap. They are a fair bit heavier that the tin roof so you need a strong helper or a hoist.

I very much doubt you'll get one from a breaker.

Ian, He has an R230 not a 129.

It is merely a case of swapping the roof section over. I would have thought they will be available from breakers. Have a ring round

Ah..:doh::fail

I've seen a few pop up on eBay normally between 8-1500.00 £'s but it will add value to your car and selling your old one should see a good portion of your money back, good luck and if I hear of one ill send a link over
