I'm going to look at a 2003 E320 CDI which has all the extra's I am after except a sat nav.

My question is how hard is it to locate and fit a factory unit and what would the likely cost.

I would like it to look as standard as possible that's why I mentioned the factory unit but is there any other units that look the same and are better/cheaper. Many thanks, Derek.

I may well be selling my Satnav from my car in about 2 weeks..
Why ?
Because I am having it upgraded to a NTG2.5. That's an expensive process but my car is my hobby..

There is potentially 1 problem though..
Mine is a face lifted 211 (2007)
You will need to contact these guys to ask if my NTG1 would fit your car OK
Mercedes Comand Navigation and Audio Specialists

I will be realistic about prices but lets not worry about that till you know if its possible to fit it to your car.

I will also be selling a 6 CD changer but I am fairly sure that wont fit yours as this item lives behind a secret cubby hole in the dash..
Photos attached of the comand unit..

What is the current audio system you have? If Audio 20 CD then upgrading to Comand NTG2.5 is easier as no additional components to install apart from the headunit. If you want to fit the above Comand NTG1 to a car with Audio 20 CD it will involve buying and running looms for the AGW and nav processor from the front of the car to the boot.

If you have Audio 20 Cassette then Comand NTG1 would be easier to fit. There is already a single tuner AGW for Audio 20 Cassette in the boot so you would only need to run the nav processor loom. Comand NTG1 normally uses a dual tuner AGW but will run with the single tuner AGW that Audio 20 Cassette has.

As always you are an absolute mine of information ..
Thank you so much.
