retrofit electric seats in 2000 ML?

Hi all

I seem to have bought a poverty spec 2000 ML270CDI which while I enjoy driving it, it seems to be missing a few of the comforts of others and which my w220 S Class had.

1. It has no trip computer to keep track of the distance left and mpg figures
2. It has a button for folding mirrors bit pressing it does nothing.
3. The location lighting and driveway lighting on opening and closing doesn't seem to be fitted and whilst I have the setting instructions in the manual the procedures produce no results.

It is also fitted with manual half leather seats and I see some nice leather ones on sale on eBay and such which I would like to fit but they are all electric which would be nice to have.

A. Does anyone know of the wiring to the seat ecu 'S which should come with the seats is already fitted to the car and is a direct plug in? And

B. Once fitted does the Cambus know it's fitted or does the car have to be programmed on the star system?

Power seats can be fitted but you need everything including making up the harness, all easy enough but a big job.
