Hi all,

Got a Kenwood DAB garmin double DIN head unit, not a bad piece of kit. The only thing letting it down os the DAB signal, its shocking!!!

Looking at retrofitting an external receiver but don't really know where to start?! Was looking at a shark fin from a C-Class but not sure about powering it, as the 12v feed will boost the signal immensely!

Any advice would be gratefully received! :)

Have a look at dabonline I got my shark fin from them and it is a top bit of kit. Does am/fm dab and gps.

The Kenwood should be fine with a windscreen antenna
a) is windscreen antenna fitted properly, a couple inches away from metal
b) Have you unplugged any chargers etc in the car that may be creating RFI and wiping out DAB signal
c) Have you turned on the antenna phantom power feed on the Kenwood ?
Cheers
Richard
