Got leather, but not heated (most seem to be)....is any of the system likely to be in place already? wiring/heating element in seat?

Well you have touched on a subject that has a whole lot of mystery about it,we do have a couple of members who have retro fitted heated seats, look on the past posts, according to companies who retro fit these seats there is nothing in a car that does not have them fitted at the factory, and so they talk telephone numbers,I remember a quote of £2000 for my car,I suppose it is how they pay the mortgage ,I have always thought that nothing could be easier, heated seats need power going through a fuse and some means to limit how much your seats heat up,if you do not mind coming away from the factory fittings then there are a number of companies offering a complete heated seat package and quiet cheap as well, but it will mean the seats have to come out ,again there are past posts on how to fit the heated pads to them, best of luck.

In a 203 the heater elements are sewn into the leather covers, so you would need need seat covers. You would also need the wiring looms and control pack. The buttons are part of the control pack, so the existing bank of buttons will need to be ditched. All do'able but as already said, expensive.
Far easier to go aftermarket, with separate heater mats under the seat covers. I had the rear seats in my 203 heated and they worked very well, in fact hotter quicker than the factory heated fronts.. IIRC only cost approx £200

The harness is ~£60 special order from Germany, I bought one but gave up the project so you can have it for £40... it’s in storage so I can get someone to collect and send it to you if you like.

What type plug connection for the seats does this have?

Thanks

That's the harness I need for my seats as the one I purchased is a different plug setup. Are you able to PayPal invoice me? Happy to cover the sellers fee at this price, thanks.

Can you email me to discuss?

Also had the same idea when I had my w203 finaly just upgraded from tissue to leather seats but not heated that was a pain and costly job to do for a car that is not that expensive anymore.

hello there I am a new member I just wanted to ask if you sold this harness in the end ?
I am trying to do the same upgrade in my coupe. I purchased two front leather heated seats made for the coupe in brand new condition from ebay so I wont have to buy heating pads I have also got myself the switch panel but cant find the wiring anywhere. the wiring loom you have here will it fit a 2003 model? if so can I ask you for the part numbers if you don't still have the harness isee the numbers in your post but am not really sure what is the part number :wallbash: your help is appreciated thanks.

Post a pic of the seat connection & I could have a wiring harness that may fit or the part number for the one I bought off clk320x.
