Return of the 280CE ..

After a while bansihed into the wilderness due to a leaking sunroof . . . the 79' 280ce made a comeback this sunday.

I took the cover off .. opened the door .. and it had gone mouldy

The seat looked like a cress patch ! and the steering wheel pure green!!
...Oh the distress that followed .. but then I turned the key and without hessitation it burst into life

Cleaned the wheel, washed the seat, took it for a spin...

With the advent of the latest C240 to the household, the old un has sat there un-loved, but after 5 miles with all the windows down and the sun shining .... the love flooded back :bannana:

What cover do you use for it? I don't think it should be going mouldy really, is the car actually kept outside?

It's one of those Dupont 'Tyvek' covers. which is supposed to breathe.

The fact it went mouldy is the seat being wet I think .. not had a problem with the cover before now.

So the moral of the tale is ... If you're thinking of selling your car.... Wait 6 weeks take it for a spin then decide

I'll give mine another 12 months
