Return of the black smoke!

Have finally ordered my replacement egr and manifold, but noticed the other day that the air filter indicator has gone to red. Reset it and straight away back to red indicating it's blocked but the filter is nearly new. I'm now wondering if there is another problem on the inlet side , but what? Any suggestions?

Mine did the same as yours.
I found the air box pipe to the grille wasn't attached correctly and caused a sufficient flow restriction to turn the filter indicator red.

Manifold is here and I have cleaned it out ready to fit. Interestingly, I decided today to change from my usual supermarket diesel and fill it with Shell. I have always been a believer that it isn't any different. However 100 miles in and it has made a huge difference! Less smoke, more power, smoother, and all this before I do the egr!
