Spotted this on eBay the other day:

LEFT HAND DRIVE 2012 [12] MERCEDES C63 6.3 AMG BLACK SERIES RED 2DR LHD UK REG | eBay

how prices change - this was up on Gumtree from around January 2020 to August/September with price fluctuating between £49950 and £54950. its done less than a couple of thousand miles since then but near on doubled in price

I viewed and drove the car at an importer in Manchester, the story was he regularly imported Qatari cars for their owners, some went back with them, some stayed and get sold on. It drove really sweetly but getting sensible finance for a high mileage LHD car with no history or provenance and a recent import to boot - no chance

i thought then it was underpriced and just needed to be in the UK for a couple of years to shake off the recent import thing

but I do have to wonder at the rubbish garage speak:

89K motorway miles - seriously, given it came from Qatar, other than it sure got used a lot (not serviced in the UK until 86000 miles) there but anyones guess whether the local sheikh had his own private motorway to run up and down all day. It wasn’t on the motorway when I was lapping Manchester town centre in it

Service history by Mercedes - er not really, first known service was in the UK in late 2019, anyones guess how it was maintained prior to that, although if it had been clocked back to 30k miles it would have passed without suspicion

Best colour! Actually I love it in Fire Opal Red but suspect there’s many an owner who wouldn’t class it as anywhere near the best colour given the problems with that colour

Frustratingly, it’s now about 15 miles from home instead of 150-odd, but it’s now way too dear for me

Wonder how long it will be there. Might try and visit it sometime when I get a weekend day free

That price and still only 1 key!
and the "massive spec" doesn't include the heated seats that I've got on my cheapo 1.6. They could at least have replaced the damaged cargo net in the footwell too.
Picky I know, but for my £90K I'd want perfection. Each to their own, but I actually prefer the cleaner lines of the standard C63, without all the front strakes and that DTM rear wing.

Is 89,000 miles considered high for a 10 year old car? Don't say its a high performance car.... plenty of similar age R8, Californias, Gallardos etc have 70k+ miles...

+ All black series have always gone up in value and are collectable.

Funny how all the car check sites I use show it as a diesel........and some show it as having metallic paint too....hmm.

The article is ten years old, maybe the plate is on another vehicle now?

Well the model is correct and it still says its a 6.2 V8.......possibly a mistake at the DVLA. My old ALFA 147 showed as an auto!

Must be sold as its not available now

The car spent most of its life in Qatar so will have been registered here around 2019 for the first time

I ran a VIN check on it and it came back all correct as a C63BS in warm country spec (heavy duty air con etc)
