I was trying to connect the power to one on my heated washer jets the other day and must have shorted it out because number 10 fuse blew.
This protects the fan clutch, washer nozzles, rev counter, heated mirrors and the outside temp gauge.

I replaced the fuse today which got everything working apart from the fan clutch and the rev counter

I have done the paper clip trick with the fan clutch sender but no joy. There is no power going to it.

Does anyone know if there is relay which the fan clutch and rev counter share? Or maybe another hidden away fuse?

Thanks,

Stu

I just thought i'd update this in case anyone has a similar problem.

It turned out to be the earth wires that connect to the nearside heated washer jet. The earth for the fan clutch and rev counter share this earthing circuit.

I had managed to break both wires when i was taking the washer jets out to replace them:doh:

All fixed now and both fan clutch and rev counter are working again:bannana:
