Rev Limiter

Does anyone know at how many revs does the Rev Limiter kick in when revving in Park or Neutral. W211 320CDi 2005

Don't know about the 211 but is about 4000 on my cars

For some strange reason I thought it was lower than that

Petrol engines are 4,000 RPM, not sure of diesels but would be lower, so you were right to assume it is lower for your car.

my e55 is 4000

on my I6 it's about 3000

It will rev to the Red.

A diesel must rev to the maximum revs before being governed.

Mine rev up to 5500 and stay there while on park...
