Reverse Camera + Monitor Reverse Light Tap

Update:

I've managed to find the 'almost' exact product I was looking for, after days and days of searching on the Internet from hdmi image flippers to modifying TFT screen chips etc.

It is a product called a 'car camera image combiner switch box'. This product basically allows you to connect 4 cameras to the same display and has a remote control which you can use to select a camera or view all 4 at the same time.

The best bit is that this product has a 'mirror / non-mirror' switch for each camera.

Only downside is that it's ~£26 pounds 9n eBay from China.

Not a big price but still a lot and more than what the kit was worth.

Will try to post a link for anyone who is having the same problem as me.

Update:

Mirror image issue resolved finally!

The device which I mentioned in my previous post was what I ended up buying after offering a discount of £2 off the price on eBay.

An excellent device and simple to wire up. I just took a ignition switched power supply from the 12V socket in the boot and connected the video cables then flicked the Mirror Switch to ON position and all was sorted!

I have attached an image of the device installed behind the left storage compartment in the boot.

Thanks all for your help and I hope this thread will help others for installing a reverse camera and monitor in a discrete way.
