Hey folks - hope all is well, first post here go easy! :) New to the Mercedes-Benz world having owned several BMW's in the past (E90's mainly & a 330d F30).
I have a W204 (2013) C220 CDI Auto and it has the Audio 20 Stereo system, I bought a carplay adapter that slots into the becker sat nav slot in the glovebox, and that itself has a RCA input for a reverse camera, which brings me to the question...

As far as I am aware ,the reverse camera, slots into the bootlid (handle etc depending on choice!), the power wire goes to the reverse power, and ground goes to ground.
The RCA cable would then just go to the RCA connector - sounds simple-ish enough, however, on the diagrams they show 'Trigger Wire' on the RCA cable, what are they for?? Here is an example (it's a few pictures in)

Whilst I am at it, any solid recommendations for an aftermarket reverse camera? I quite like the idea of one that goes in the current blank slot under the tail lid, rather than one that replaces a number plate light?

Also -sorry, another q! When wiring up the reverse power cable, would it be a good idea to get something like this?

And then put 2 fuses in it and connect the wire to the female connector?

Thanks in advance :)

I now have the same question about a trigger wire? I am going to be connecting to NTG 4.5 via a RCA to FACRA cable - do I still need to use it? (I do realise that I have to enable the reversing camera in the engineering menu)
