Reverse camera

Hello there,

I've just bought a used 2014 Mercedes E400 AMG car, which has parktronic with parking sensors but no rear camera.

I'd like to install one, ideally one which shows the car direction with tracking lines. Has anyone done this themselves before and could anyone possibly provide a recommendation on the appropriate bit of kit?

I've fitted one, you will only get the lines if your car has NTG 4.5 - 2014 should as far as I'm aware.

How do I check whether it has NTG 4.5? Apologies if it states in the video I'm about to watch!

The vid is 4.0, if you have the newer style with the blue/sliver interface it's 4.5

Is the back of the head unit identical (connections) with 4.0 and 4.5? Cheers

The Comand version in my 09/14 E class is an NTG 4.5.

This may also help the OP although I see the camera is out of stock currently.

To get the guide lines on the factory camera will require the car to be coded online with Mercedes Xentry.
