Now try it in C mode, you might find that it always holds it.Mine will also roll forward on steep inclines in reverse. Have the same engine (assuming its K) and gearbox. Occassionally the incline is too steep for creep to hold it at idling revs. I've never been in an auto that will hold a car on steep inclines with creep.
You sure it did it before? Is it not holding it at all now whereas before it was up to a point?
If all else fails just have the idle increased the next time the car is serviced by 25 RPM that will solve it
How will as little as 25rpm solve it malcolm?
Mine idles at 600rpm is this normal?
No that is too low, it should be at least 650
My own SL rolls back on my driveway, 25 increase in RPM stops that.
Sit in the car on a hill and do a test using the rev counter

I have a 3 yr old C180 Estate and when I reverse up a slight incline (driveway) it will roll forward if I do not have my foot on the break or on the accelorator. Does anyone know what the problem is. It has only just started to happen.
