My 2018 petrol engined, manual box C200 has started misbehaving. Under load, either when accelerating hard or just maintaining a steady speed uphill, the revs can suddenly jump or drop, usually dropping by a few 100 then half a second alter springing back. It’s almost like the clutch is slipping but the revs go down.
There are no fault codes showing on my reader and it went to the local main dealer for a service yesterday when I mentioned the problem to them. It came back without fix or comment.
Any suggestions of what the cause of the fluctuations could be?
