RHD/LHD front light conversion 2009 ML 320CDI Sport

Hi

I'm in Spain at the moment and am likely to be here for a while. I am obliged to register the car after 6 months. This means I need to change the direction of my front lights to pass their ITV. What is the best way of going about that?

Fit EU spec headlamps?

Do you have halogens or Xenons?

Not the brightest when it comes to cars, I'm afraid! I think they are Xenons. They move sideways and up and down when the ignition is switched on.

Sounds like you have xenons. If so it may be simply a session on STAR needed to code for RHD traffic.

Otherwise you could source some second hand lamp units from eBay or breakers?

Thanks, but I'm no wiser. Does that mean that I take it to a Merc dealer here and have it adjusted? Will an indie have the same equipment?

Taking it to the dealership is a good start. Ask them what is required and how much, then decide what to do next...
A good indie should have STAR and know how to use it. They may also have sources of second hand parts etc..
