Right Choice?

Hi all...
After looking soo hard for a car to carry my new born son and his Huge push chair !!!, I decided to buy a Merc C200 K 2001 Model (used of course !!!)..

Can someone tell me if a Cam Belt change is required after 60k miles??? I was not informed of this at the time but have been informed by friends !!!

If it is true, I have 5k miles before I get made skint so better start saving for this expense... any idea how much it is going to cost ???

I think you will find it has a cam *chain*, not a belt.

The chain should last well over 100k and wll be self evident when its due for a change as it will start to rattle.

You'll need to start saving anyway however......... to pay for all the mods you're gonna do to the car :bannana:

I have been sitting here in anticipation and with shaking legs and hands on the expenses to be made...

Regards the savings for the mods to the car, you will laugh when I tell you that the Wife and Son have made claim to the car...
I have to drive to work etc in the Seat Leon (which is infact a VW Golf but with a different badge !!!).... must admit that the Seat is not a bad drive but comes no where near the Merc's quality of WOW factor !!!!!
