right dipped beam error message

I have a 2011 C200 and have the right dipped beam error message. I replaced the bulb, I tried another, nothing. Had AA out who played about with it and it came on, but the following day, out it went.

They suggested a loose connection. Is this commonplace?

No...... not more than any other loose collection. Needs sorting in the usual way.

Are they Halogen or Xenon lights?
