Gutted, I vividly remember the minute playground dissection of every episode of the Young Ones that was a part of school life when it was first aired. He kept me laughing through most of my teens and early twenties.

I even liked Fillthy, Rich and Catflap.

Looks like he had a W124.

RIP. A funny, funny man.

Yeah Fillthy, Rich and Catflap - a forgotten gem .
The W124 shows up on GSView btw.

And all the grown-ups will say, 'But why are the kids crying?' And the kids will say, 'Haven't you heard? Rick is dead! The People's Poet is dead

A 300E-24 no less. The man had good taste in motors.
Ade Edmonson and Jennifer Saunders used to own an S124 as well.

Such a huge part of my adolescence. RIP.

A very sad day for British comedy, the young ones was a must see for a generation, I don't think I've ever seen a bad Rik mayall comedy.
RIP.

My favourite Rik character was Flashheart - but I thought he was excellent in Jonathan Creek too.

Loved this guy, can watch Bottom every day of the week!

RIP

A very funny B'stard has left us, thanks for the laughs.

B'stard on Coalition government:

"You know the really great thing about a fudged Coalition is that neither of us need to carry out a single promise of our election manifestos!"

So not just a comedian then :D
