^ I've so many good memories to this one Grober..Sitting in my Rover SD1 in East Kilbride bus station belting this out during the summer and a crowd of people dancing around the car.. mental!
 
I don't think that I've ever posted on a RIP thread before but Aretha has been an inspiration for so many that it's worth commenting on.
 
R.I.P Aretha, Queen of soul, same date as the King of Rock 41 years ago though
 
I heard a song on the radio this afternoon, a recent young girl singer from about 4 years ago. It was something which first caught my attention on Hootenanny that year. The song was about Aretha, in hindsight I guess that it was played in homage.
