A sad loss, but he had an outstanding run introducing us to some great music and truly amazing musicians over the years. Past membership of John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers really is a who’s who of blues royalty. Really nice bloke too. Met him about 10-years ago, in his 80’s at Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall, out front before the show selling CDs, chatting to fans.
RIP John.

Remarkable cornerstone of British blues.

How he lived until 90 after that kind of demanding lifestyle and career it’s hard to fathom.

Cue a couple of beers and a couple of hours surfing YouTube this weekend

He had a good innings, and assisted/created/helped so many budding blues/jazz/rock musicians during the late Fifties onwards.
No point creating a list as there is bound to be some who ought to be on it but may not be.

I'll admit to having to Google him.....not a name I've heard before.....RIP anyway.

For other ignoramuses like me......!!
