I've had a road angel for 18 months. It has always given faultless performance until I changed my car a month ago.
Now it is taking a long long time to pick up satellites - so i can drive for 30/40/50 minutes before I get any response from the unit (up until then it just shows 3 dashes --- in the display).
Old car was an sl320, new car is an sl60 - both 129s.
The unit is in the same place it was in the old car - windscreen mount in the bottom right hand corner of the screen next to the driver.

Has anyone else had similar problems with the Road Angel recently or can suggest a reason for my problem??

Presuming your new SL doesn't have some sort of UV windscreen that hinders GPS reception, I would take a look at this thread.

The change of car might be a red herring - GPS pickup degredation has been experienced before by Road Angel users.
