I have a white c class which really shows the road grime (tar etc) even after washing, can any one recommend a product or method for getting rid of those pesky black spots!

Autoglym Tar Remover + Autoglym Magma. Amazing stuff and effective. I too suffer from the constant tar and iron spots on a white car!

Black spots are usually tar so you’ll be needing a tar & glue remover. One of the best is a pain to get hold of as you’ll need to seek out your local Autosmart rep. If you can get hold of Tardis is what you want.

After a tar and glue remover, you’d normally see if there’s any fallout and I’d recommend High Definition Detailing Ferrous Ferric.

After that a clay bar or cloth.

After that a finishing polish or paint cleanser.

That will have your paint squeaky clean and good for protecting.

Once clean and protected tar and fallout will find it harder to stick on the paintwork.

For a prewash look at Bilt Hamber Autofoam or Power Maxed TFR.

As above, Auto Glym tar remover, but make sure you apply some polish afterwards.
