Quick question chaps

What month / year did VED be arrived at via CO2 emissions please?

Looking at a nice 55 plate vehicle and was wondering if it qualified for cheap (?) tax

VED for cars registered before March 2001 was based on engine size, after this it was based on emissions, these bands were reassessed again in March 2006, for cars registered between March 2001 and March 2006 the maximum you will pay for a car emittimng 225 g/Km or higher is charged at a K band, this is currently £280 P/A
