Got the roll bar to pop up on the SL today!
First time I've really driven it hard, must say it didn't take much but made me have a little smile

Out of interest, can you raise it manually? The R129 has a switch for this because of the back seats (it's supposed to be up if they are occupied).

Yes you can put it up manually, there are buttons under the roof switch.
It was only a little yump in the road..... The road is known as the North Yorkshire/Helmsley TT Road, it's where the bikers give it what for!
