Morning,
i have the 2015 c-class estate and i have the Mercedes branded roof rails with the bike holder, there brill but the down fall is that the sun roof does not open!
due to these rubber bungs they have on the side, there only small but i may have to cut these off,
i tried different ones from back street shops, but i would recommend the own brand from a dealer, :thumb:

Thanks for this, its the saloon I have ordered... wonder if its the same with opening ?

I use Thule roof bars on a W204 with pano roof - roof opens no problem :-)
Just checked for the W205 (as I get mine in a week) and it's the same feet (part that attaches to the car).
Hope that helps...

I just got a set of Thule wing bars for my W205 estate. Does anyone have a recommendation for optimal positioning to minimise noise?

I currently have them with the centre of the securing feet in line with the top of the front & rear door openings but the rear bar doesn't appear to be sitting flat and I have seen pictures online of the front foot being fore of the door opening.

I plan to keep the bars on most of the time so want to get them properly located with minimal noise and don't see any markings on the car to guide.

All,

I also have a W205 saloon with the Pano Roof and I have ordered the Thule WingBar edge and bike racks. Will this definitely prevent the roof from opening ?

Thanks again for any feedback
Ryan

just used my Thule Wing bars on my W205 at weekend for first time.
The pano roof tilts ok but if opened it touches one of the rear rack mounts, tried loosening, wiggling and retightening the fixings and i could get about 1 to 2 mm clearance each side. Not enough to be on the safe side for me so it'll be tilt only with bars on...
Must say was pleased with low wind noise from the bars - much better than old square bar rack.
